…that smell of freshly brewed beer in the air, the smooth rocking feeling at the top floor of the double decker, the unsatisfied urge to catch the bannies(!!!!), the feeling when running in the first snow, the wilderness that lived just outside my bedroom window, the feeling of freedom while riding that Kawasaki motorbike of his, the feeling of literally falling in love and loosing my mind and so much more, the feeling of being alone and the lesson of surviving on my own, being tipsy and getting stoned for the first time and last (!), the anxiety attacks, the view from the skylight windows, my duck feathered douvet, my green wellies, his and my labcoat, books and notes and assignments and pens and pencils (what was i thinking?), the keys of the kawasaki,  the freeeeeeezing cold waters of the Firth of Forth, the disgusting colour of the North Sea, the neverending sessions of analysis with friends on msn, the person behind the radio mic that kept me company Always, the 1,5L mug i bought from the Xmas market, the chopsticks the Chinese girl gave us, the air of romance during the weekend of the fireworks, the hen nights (jesus!!), the walks along the wide streets with the blooming gardens, kitchen gatherings with Marty, Elena, Nick, G n Jordan, Frenchy n Cat for food and chilling…

i promise i will never leave them behind.

Πάω να μαζέψω ήιιιιιλιοοοοοο!    Ελάτε…

Όταν ακόμα και οι πολεμίστρες με έπνιγαν έπαιρνα το σκάφος μου κάθε φορά που είχε καιρό και έπαιζα με τα κύματα. Έπινα την θάλασσα με το κουταλάκι σε κάθε τούμπα. Ένιωθα τον φόβο και την παγωνιά στο δέρμα μου κάθε φορά που η ανάδυση κρατούσε λίγο παραπάνω. Κάθε φορά με άφηνε να βγω. Όσο και αν φοβήθηκα, κρύωσα, χτύπησα και πόνεσα για μένα ποτέ δεν φτάνει. Ποτέ δεν είναι αρκετό.Όταν δεν έχω κανέναν να μιλήσω τρέχω κάπου κοντά και λέω τα μυστικά μου.Και δεν χρειάζεται τρείς ζωές για να σου πει και εκείνη τα δικά της.. μία είναι αρκετή.

Και τώρα είμαι εδώ, σε ένα δωμάτιο. Διαβάζω για όλα αυτά που οι επιστήμονες ανακάλυψαν μέσα της!

Τι ανόητοι που είναι…

Έπιασα λοιπόν τα μονοπάτια που οδηγούν στο κάστρο της πόλης, ανέβηκα στις μύτες των ποδιών μου και κοίταξα πέρα απο τον πέτρινο τοίχο του κάστρου την πόλη που απλώνεται μέχρι την θάλασσα.. 

 Έχουμε και ντοκουμέντα! Αμεεεεεεε!

Συγκεντρώνεται σε λάθος θέμα, λάθος τόπο και χρόνο. Αρνείται να διαβάσει, να μάθει, να καταλάβει, να επεξεργαστεί…

Βαριέμαι ελεεινά να ασχοληθώ με οτιδήποτε αφορά την εξεταστική που μου χτυπά την πόρτα και αναμένω μέσα από το λήθαργο το πρωινό που θα ξυπνήσω και θα ανοίξω τα μάτια μου μα δεν θα σκεφτώ πως πρέπει να διαβάσω… Τι ανακούφιση Θεέ μου…

Λογικά θα ήθελα να γυρίσω στην Ελλάδα, θέλω, μα είναι διαφορετική η αίσθηση να ξυπνάς χωρίς να Πρέπει….

Γαμώτο μου, λίγη υπομονή δεν είναι αρκετή για να κάνει το μυαλό μου να δουλέψει λίγο ακόμα..  

“Heavy” Coffee (Kafes Varys Glykos)

At the end of a good Greek Meal is the wonderful strong Greek Coffee.

Preparation time about 10 minutes.

• 1 small cup of water
• 1-1/2 teaspoonfuls of sugar
• 1 teaspoonful of coffee

Put the water into the ‘briki’ to heat. While the water is getting hot, add the sugar and coffee. Stir, and as soon as it rises, remove from the heat before it boils completely so as not to spoil the froth.

A Dictionary of Greek Coffee

§                        Coffee: The beans are to be ground until they have the consistency of a fine powder.

§                        Briki: This is a bronze, uniquely shaped pot with a long handle in which the coffee is made.

§                        The cup (Flytsanaki): A special, very small demitasse cup of white china which the coffee is to be served in.

§                        Kaimaki: A thick layer of froth without bubbles formed as soon as the coffee is ready to boil. A heavy coffee always will have froth.

§                        Grounds (Katakathi): Greek coffee is never drunk to the “last drop” because there is always undrinkable sludge-like sediment at the bottom of the cup. And this should not be drunk.

At the end of the meal, when the conversation is over. The only think to do is say “OPA” and have a good rest.
